The Raptor RAID system is a new NAS (Network Attached Storage) product. The product is composed of a separate 14 bay SCSI RAID system and a 1U NAS head piece. The 1U NAS head piece contains the Windows 2003 SS (Storage Server) firmware and mirrored operating systems. Standard 2.0GHZ P4 processor and options up to 4 Zeon 2.6 GHZ can be added.

Why Separate?

The separate units are very easy to service. Second the NAS unit can be upgraded to faster processors and additional RAM. Finally a second NAS unit can be added to create a cluster file system.
