JES offers Enterprise level SCSI and FIBRE RAID systems of the highest performance. All RAID controllers are capable of 19,000 IO's per second. All systems are solid state back plane design. JES will provide Universal (80MHZ) interface cables to allow for higher speed SCSI buses. System features
High performance The G6322 controller delivers more than 18,000 IOPS and 180 Mbytes/sec making the controllers excel in transaction intensive environments such as OLTP, thanks to the powerful on board 266MHz Intel Pentium II CPU. The G6322 is ready for the full range of demanding environments from transaction intensive applications to data streaming backup operations and multimedia rich Internet. The G6322 incorporates Chaparral's innovative RAIDEngine IITM memory controller. Featuring a state of the art 800 MBytes/sec PC-133 compatible memory interface and XOR RAID parity hardware, the RAIDEngine 11 is optimized for swift data transfers between host systems and hard disks.
-Unsurpassed Data Availability The new G6322 controller offers high data availability for today's most demanding I/0 applications using dual controller host independent active-active failover. The G6322 active-activefailover design allows individual controllers to be taken off-line for firmware upgrade without interupting operations. This results in no downtime for maintenance operations, a key requirement for mission-critical applications. -Advanced availability Supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 0/1, 3, 4, 5, 10 and JBOD, Chaparral's RAID technology protects against loss of data. Additional features include:on-line capacity expansion, dedicated and pooled spares, battery backed ECC-protected disk cache, and hot-swap replacement of disk drives and controllers. Automatic failover initiation in G6322 controllers utilizes Chaparral's unique run-time diagnostics and error handling software. The G-Series RAID Controllers' extensive feature set supports SAF-TE environmental monitoring with even notification via e-mail, pager, fax or automatic calls. Also included are event logging and SMART event monitoring.
